The Best 5 Ingredient Salmon

This salmon was a staple in our house growing up. My mom loves it — and it’s not hard to see why. Only 5 ingredients with options to grill or roast the salmon in the oven, it was one of my big requests while in the states for a few weeks. While we can’t get salmon regularly, I’m excited to try this recipe on some regular ole basa fish. I’ll let ya know how it goes! The Best 5 Ingredient Salmon

45 minutes • serves 4

1/2 cup olive oil

1/4 cup balsamic vinegar

2 tbs Dijon mustard

1 tsp garlic powder

2 tbs honey

2.5-3 lbs Salmon

  1. Mix all the ingredients of the marinade together and place the salmon in it, coating all sides. Let sit for at least 30 minutes.

  2. If roasting, preheat an oven to 450 degrees Fahrenheit (230 Celsius). Place salmon on a roasting pan and roast in oven for 12-15 minutes until salmon is internally 145 degrees.

  3. If grilling, grill on a hot grill 3 minutes on one side, flip, and grill for an additional 2 minutes. Rest for 2-3 minutes before serving.

  4. Serve warm with roasted vegetables!

We had ours with everything but the bagel roasted sweet potatoes, a cucumber/avocado salad, and spicy sriracha mayo!
